Police up to late last night were questioning a Toco man in his late 40s following the stabbing death of his neighbour Justin Baptiste. According to police, around 3.30 pm the two were arguing at the corner of Pepper Hill and Paria Main Road, Toco, when the suspect stabbed Baptiste, 24, in the neck. Baptiste, who lived at Paria Main Road, Toco, was taken to the Toco Health Facility where he died while undergoing treatment. Police said shortly after he was pronounced dead the suspect was arrested.
Cpl Jones of the Homicide Bureau Region 11 led a party of officers to the scene. Investigations are continuing. The murder toll now stands at 71.
