Despite the relatively low favourability rating of 36 per cent they have given UNC MP Clifton De Coteau, constituents of Moruga/Tableland say his political leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, is more acceptable for the job of prime minister than Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley.
This is one of the key findings of the latest marginal constituency poll conducted by HHB & Associates exclusively for Guardian Media Ltd.
Moruga/Tableland is the fourth marginal constituency to be polled in the series, and the first to put Persad-Bissessar well ahead of Rowley, with 40 per cent to his 30 per cent, in terms of acceptability as PM.
Full results of the poll conducted last week will be released on Tuesday at 8 pm on CNC3’s On The Margin current affairs programme and in the Guardian on Wednesday.
