Two men were was shot dead in separate incidents on Monday night in Maraval and Laventille.
Mickhel “Churso” Burke, 21, of Moraldo Street, Maraval, was found dead at Bergerac Road which is also in Maraval.
A report said around 10 pm, residents heard several loud explosions and when they checked, a body was found in the middle of the roadway.
They immediately notified the police.
His body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre, St James, for an autopsy.
Investigators said Burke was a “twin and was known to the police as a person who was selling drugs.”
In an unrelated incident, Wendell Scott, 33, of Desperlie Crescent, was shot dead at Wharton Street, Laventille.
A report said around 7.30 pm, residents heard gunfire and later found Scott’s body lying in a pool of blood. He was shot multiple times to the head.
Officers of the Crime Scene Unit and Homicide Bureau visited the scene.
Police said Scott came into the area to visit a woman when he was attacked.
