The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian has printed its last edition at the iconic Guardian Building on St Vincent Street, downtown Port-of-Spain.

From today, the Guardian will begin operations at a new, state-of-the-art newsroom at Chaguanas, joining its printing press operations there.

It marks one of the most significant changes undertaken in the history of the 98-year-old newspaper, the oldest in T&T. The Guardian will retain a smaller bureau, staffed by editors, reporters and photographers, at the St Vincent Street building. The other media services of Guardian Media Limited (GML), CNC3 and its radio networks, will remain there.

Besides editorial, other core operations of GML including general management, marketing and finance will also be moving to its new Chaguanas headquarters. The new address is AMCO Compound, Rodney Road, Endeavour, Chaguanas. The switchboard contact is 225-4GML, and the fax number 225 3147-50.

The T&T Guardian will be marking the occasion with a special supplement next Saturday.
